Pool D

Rugby World Cup 2015 - Pool D Betting

The last of the Groups is Pool D and we see the defending Champions South Africa enter the tournament, the Springboks were outstanding in France in 2007 and will go to New Zealand determined to repeat that success. They face a tough task though as they have slipped slightly over the past year or two, they followed up their World Cup win in 2007 with a Lions victory in 2009 so cannot be ruled out but they do face a tough task to win again.

Outright Rugby World Cup 2015 Odds

The South Africans are still the clear favourites to win Pool D with the bookmakers but in Wales they face a team that can never be ruled out and will run the Springboks close when they meet. The Welsh have never won the Rugby World Cup but they have a great tradition in the game and are more than a match for any team on their best day, also in Pool D are Fiji, Samoa and Namibia in a section that looks highly competitive on paper.

The Welsh and South Africans are the favourites to make progress to the last eight but if either team are below par they will be found out by the very strong Samoan and Fiji side, the Pacific Island teams are growing with every year and they should never be underestimated.
