Tim Horan reached his peak in time for the 1999 Rugby World Cup after coming back from a broken thumb the year before. Tim was named the player of the 1999 Rugby World Cup after dictating the Wallabies play throughout the tournament from his newly adopted position at fly half, He consistently managed to breakthrough opposition defences and with it took his team that little bit closer each time to winning their second Rugby World Cup Final.
Tim was born on the 18th May 1970 and first played for Australia at the age of 19 against their local rivals the All Blacks in 1989. He played in all 80 times for the Wallabies with his final appearance coming in the year 2000 against the Argentineans.
He continued to play at club level after signing for Saracens in the English Premiership and started a new career in journalism.
