Rugby World Cup 2011 Venues - Eden Park Stadium
There is no doubt that Eden Park in Auckland will be the focus of the 2011 Rugby World Cup having gone through a complete revamp, it will host the most games during the tournament including s the opening game and of course the all-important Rugby World Cup Final. There was some debate about building a new stadium in Auckland but in the end it was decided that the better option would be to rebuild the existing ground, it will have a capacity of 60,000 for the World Cup with 10,000 of that coming in temporary seating.

There are a number of mouth watering clashes to look forward to Eden Park with New Zealand using it as one of their main bases throughout the tournament, the All Blacks clash with France looks like one not to miss in particular at this stage. Eden Park is famous for playing host to Rugby Union and of course Test Cricket with the Black Caps playing many test matches at the famous ground, it will also become the first stadium to have hosted two Rugby World Cup Finals having also hosted the very first one in 1987.
