Rugby World Cup Venues 2011 - Rugby Park Stadium
The Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill is the smallest of all the Rugby World Cup Venues but it should the stadium known as the 'Roaring Pen' should not be ignored as it will hold two pool games during the tournament. It is a relatively new stadium having only been erected in 2002 and it does not home any major sporting teams, this will be the biggest moment for the people of Invercargill as they get ready to host the Rugby World Cup.
Romania will be playing two of their pool games at the 17,000 seater Rugby park Stadium, and they will be playing two tough sides in Scotland and Argentina in Invercargill. The stadium may not be the biggest but it does on occasion host the Highlanders in the Super 14 competition so there is no doubt plenty of Rugby interest in the area.
